In fact: games have become an integral part of the entertainment industry along with cinema, music and literature. So integral that once you get hooked and try out some new project, you can become a nolifer, living, for example, in Panzar’s virtual world of chaos.
The story of my acquaintance with Prime world does not begin with advertising or even with Igromir. And exactly from the moment when Igor Russian Gordon Freeman Surov wrote on VKontakte (and my good friend AFNescafe poked me with a link;)):
The evening is free, I should go. No sooner said than done. Half an hour by train, half an hour by metro, 20 minutes on foot, and here in front of me is a large office center with a red cube above the main entrance. Another small trip to the, I must say, stylish office of Nival Network. A couple of handshakes, a quick acquaintance with the situation. By the way, Igor, you are great. (I thought less). You will make a real Freeman, at least the audience will immediately understand why the scientist was able to punish the entire crowd of monsters in Black Mesa with a crowbar. I guarantee it.
Exactly what I’m talking about? Oh yes, Nival office. They gave me a delicious flash drive (although for some reason it was dead ;)), then they sat me down at the admin computer next to one of the employees. He took a notepad, prepared a pen and said: here’s the game client for you, come on, “go for it, sister”. And, by the way, I must also say that I’m not only practically unfamiliar with Prime World, but I belong to that category of players who can’t handle Dota, Warcrafttree and others like them. That is, I actually experienced such a gameplay mixture for almost the first time (Cossacks, Red Alert and Dune 3D do not count – that was too long ago).
Now imagine the picture. I’m such a simple guy, Sergius, I launched the game, quickly read the story in the form of animated text and pictures, and immediately had my first encounter with some wolves and boars. “AHHH PANIC PANIC, people are watching, the screen is a mess. So… How to walk here?! Not arrows. Mouse. ABOUT! Exactly. RMB. So, here he goes. How to fight?! LMB. Amazing! Who is this?! And the enemies. Understood. What’s going on here?? Some kind of cone. Ah, talents. Click, explore. New icons on the slot. Some kind of hammer with a plus. Cloud, cone. Great. Press one. Area Impact. What is this?! Enemy tower. Get wet! Some more friendly wolves came running. Bang. A tooltip appears. Destroy some major enemy fortification. Stomp there. EpT. How to walk then? Ah, PKM, that’s right, I remembered! Forest, lights, the bulb next to the access panel is blinking again. More talents. Understood. We study! Some kind of tower again. Destroy! AAA, a mess. FUCK, BANG, KABUUM! Full screen special effects. VICTORY. » Well, you understand, a person who has been sitting on gaming blogs for two years, writing harsh essays about assassins, with gaming experience starting from “Field of Dreams” in the 90s and Duma 2 on the good old P2, and here is such a stupid thing – “Nubito-Blondie-style”.
And the developer (sorry, https://mpbetcasino.co.uk/withdrawal/ bad memory for names) appears to sit for the first half hour and quietly write notes in his notebook;) Personally, I had no time for comments yet.
And now, the first battle is over, adaptation to the game mechanics has just begun. And before my eyes, the strategic component of the game unfolded in all its glory, so to speak.
According to the stories, I am Lord Arkadeshim. I have a castle with a plot of land on which my Highness can build a lot of things. In fact, buildings are divided into useful (adits, mills, libraries, huts) and aesthetic (lanterns, observatories, etc.).n.). Useful buildings allow you to extract resources (prime crystals, silver, firewood, food and some other necessary crap). Useless ones are really pleasing to the eye. The nice thing is that if you have built something, for example a sawmill, then, after starting it, you can zoom in on the camera and see how logs are sawed and stacked. Or there is also a press (it seems to be for distilling wood into silver, o_O) with a large hammer that periodically hits the pressing table. In general, having built up the territory of the castle, you will be able to observe a dreamy “anthill” in which something is always happening: moving, sawing, pressing… Only you can’t see people, but in general it’s very pleasing to the eye. Although camera movement is limited, while resources accumulate, you can screenshot the fruits of your labors as your desktop wallpaper. This part of the game is made on unity3d, which, under skillful hands, can produce a very nice picture.
In addition to the quiet extraction of resources, you can also take away talents from each battle along with achievements. Talent management remained a puzzle for me almost until the very end of the two-hour test game. The point is that the hero has six lines of talents, in each of which you can replace any. As far as I understand, new abilities appear in the library, and with simple manipulations with the mouse they can be sorted, dragged, sold and assigned to any of the available characters (of which there are also a huge number). During the battle, access to groups and lines of talents opens as primes accumulate (or whatever is in the cone, and the recommended one is necessarily highlighted above it). Moreover, the dynamics of the game are such that to do, as, for example, I like: first accumulate over9000 characteristics, and then buy all the best in one gulp – the worst strategy. You need to unlock talents and level up as quickly as possible.
Perhaps now is the time to address the burning issue of the microtransaction system. In my subjective opinion, it is soft and pleasant. At least no one is begging for anything, banners with various indecent offers, demands, etc. do not pop up in the middle of the screen.n. The first time I remembered about it was already at the end of the first hour, when it turned out that for 1 gold (= 1 real ruble) the current extraction of resources, which, by the way, can last either 10 minutes or 2 hours, can be completed instantly. f2p policy as it is.
Your half hour per building costs 1 ruble. This is fine. (The screenshot is not mine, but.) For comparison: with all my love for Panzar: Forged by Chaos, in it, almost at the very beginning I was presented with a fact: either you buy the gear, or spend from an hour to several days, depending on your luck. Let me be more specific: the object of my current desire:
Epic armor for the gunner. Beautiful, maybe even useful, but costs more than 600 rubles. This means that even with a premium account you need to play for 5-7 hours to be able to craft it (with half the probability). 600 rubles is the price tag of a AAA blockbuster from Ubisoft. This is also normal, although more severe. Everyone needs to eat;) Anyway, the time will come, and I’ll craft it;)
Returning to Prime World. Subjects. There are quite a few of them. In the form of text comments and quests. And here it is necessary to note an elegant point, which is that in addition to the semantic load, there is also an educational component woven into it. We are offered to build something, play with the Persian’s talents and characteristics, rewarding us with silver and some stars for completion and training. I think this: since online+f2p is a fairly young system, the introductory function for the plot is enough, therefore the weak disclosure of character images does not bother me. From the voice acting I just want to highlight the battle commentator. The voice and manner of pronunciation evoked the good old Unreal: “MONSTER KILL!", which also played a positive role.
I think I can talk about the game for a very long time, but I have a leaky memory;) Also, I won’t sing praises to the developers, saying that I’m amazed at the depth of development, etc.n. No, I’m not amazed. Moreover, I’m not very surprised by anything. On the other hand, it somehow turned out that the game mechanics, and many aspects of the gameplay in general, are new to me. The game really has a huge number of characters, talents, characteristics, buildings… In general, there is something to explore, where to delve and give free rein to the excitement. (Both PvP and PvE systems are provided.)
This is absolutely not a knee-jerk creation (on the level of PainKiller: Ressurection), but a very large-scale project with a serious base. For example, while I was just playing, Nival’s employee periodically clarified my opinion and impressions about some points. That is, it’s done, sort of, for us, the players (and our money, too). Personally, I’m thinking of nerding out a little in my spare time, and I suggest you try it!
