Praey for the Gods was a long and painful process. On the way of the game to release through the thorns of Early Access, both Bethesda stood up with the requirement to change the name, and the small number of the development team, but now the ambitious indie clone Shadow of the Colossus is finally ready to meet gamers. What does this meeting bring??
Watched up to 6 minutes. It just burned out. No matter how much I have some respect for Vanya, this is just a real NOOB review.
I myself completed the game a couple of days ago on medium difficulty, I didn’t play ShoK due to the lack of a console, but I love this game. So here it is. I experienced difficulties with bosses 2 times. With a flying snake and a slave. All. Do you know why you experienced such wild hardcore, dear Vanya?? Because when the colossus begins to resist you, trying to throw you off, you must press RMB like mad, and then, only then, will you save your energy to the extent of 3/4 of what you should have spent. In 12 minutes of your video with inserts, you NEVER did this, that’s why you fell, died, burned.
You just didn’t watch the https://borajogarcasino.co.uk/withdrawal/ training, apparently, I don’t know, there is ALWAYS enough energy to stay on the monster. When it’s low, you just wait until the monster gives you a second to get to your feet, quickly restores all your stamina, and clings on again with a full charge of energy. ELEMENTARY.
Sleep and hunger at the average level have NO effect, this is for fans of hardcore, ala survival + colossi, but I only came for the colossi, so all I could do was warm myself in the caves so as not to lose HP from the cold. By the way, fried meat restores HP very well, so hunting is very useful. However, you can still skip fights with mobs by simply running past, this is optional gameplay, rather a way to knock out 2-3 star weapons.
But the world is interesting, you just haven’t studied it, but you know why?) Because you apparently didn’t use a grappling hook. Let me remind you that there are 4 types of surfaces in the game: Wool of colossi, Stone rocks, Ice rocks and “shields” to which you cling with a hook, BUT you can also cling to ALL stone structures/rocks with your hook. I ran around the world like Spiderman on my cat hook and it was amazing! The map is not small, the views are nice, you fly from mountain to mountain, use a glider and rarely crawl. I explored more than half of the caves, they contain some kind of puzzles in the style of old Larka, but there was no word about this in the video. By the way, in such caves you can find various sets of armor, some with fur coats and furs, just as you asked.
The game is a parody of Shock. But with its own Scandinavian setting. If you come to the game to kill colossi, you will get what you want. There is no plot in the game as such, it is very abstract and incomprehensible, and is generally presented in pictures of different caves, which by the way makes it even more interesting to study the walls… There seems to be a hunger and sleep system, but they don’t seem to interfere if you play on medium and low difficulty levels. You can move around the ENTIRE map from a hook, crafting/repairing things is very easy.
So what’s the downside of the game?? Nothing. There is no service, no plot bugs, plot inconsistencies. I repeat, you get from the game what you expected, namely killing colossi… Well, Vanya simply did not understand the training, the influence of mechanics on the game and released a RAW review. Annoyance.
you have to press RMB like crazy
Why torture RMB if you can switch to hold in the settings?
If there were no damn unnecessary survival, crafting and durability, it would be great.
